JAL Open Center Air Cylinder

Air cylinder technology is the future. Compared to hydraulic cylinders which now are major option in the industry, air cylinders own more advantages such as higher performance and lower operating cost. Air cylinders are powered by compressed air which means saving cost on hydraulic pumps and tanks. Air cylinders also have extremely low temperature rising since the viscosity of the air is about 1/1000 of the hydro fluid, making them better solution of rear-actuators for high-accuracy NC machines since there won’t be thermal distortion problem needs to be worried about, further reducing cost on any cooling equipment.

JAL846-D Double-Piston Open Center Air Cylinder adopts our patented air cylinder technology, providing unmatchable 2300kgf (5060lbf) pushing/pulling force under 7kg/cm2 (100psi) input air pressure. The speed is up to 5500RPM with very low temperature rising. JAL846-D also has built-in safety check valve, ensuring 100% operating force even the input air stream is cut off.

More available models of JAL Series Open Center Air Cylinder will be released in 2008, including JAL636 6” Air Cylinder which is specially designed for actuating 5C collet or hi-precison air chucks.

JAL846-D	8" high speed air cylinder. 46mm through hole. 15mm stroke. Double Piston design. Built-in safety check valve. Max speed up to 5500RPM. Large output force up to 2300kgf (at 7kg/cm-sq, 100psi). Very low temperature rising under high speed operation. Works with 8" jaw chucks or collet chucks.
JAL636	6" high speed air cylinder. 36mm through hole. 12mm stroke. Max speed up to 6500RPM. Output force 820kgf (at 7kg/cm-sq, 100psi). Very low temperature rising under high speed operation. Works with hi-precision air chucks, 5C collet chuck.
JAL636-PL (Pull Force Enhanced)	6" high speed air cylinder. 36mm through hole. 7mm stroke. Max speed up to 6500RPM. Enhanced output force 935kgf (at 7kg/cm-sq, 100psi). Very low temperature rising under high speed operation. Works with pull type collet chucks or 5C collet nose.
